Orthopedic bio-mechanical testing material is used in testing of orthopedic implants, instruments, and instrumentation. The orthopedic test blocks offer an alternative to using real human cadaver bone in orthopedic surgery workshops. The exhibit consistent physical properties with different combinations of bone density and thickness of the cortical shell.
3B Orthopedic Testing Blocks are solid rigid polyurethane foam blocks with bone densities from 10 to 30 PCF (pounds per cubic foot) and cortical thicknesses of 1, 2, or 3 mm. They are used for comparative testing of bone screws and other medical devices and instruments.
