How does 3B Scientific ensure gender neutrality?
Women employees contribute significantly to the success of 3B Scientific in advancing medical and healthcare education and consisting talented female workforce in diverse roles & functions in leading, executing, and collaborating to fulfill the company's goals.
As shared by Kerstin Damaschke, Head of Human Resources at 3B Scientific, "We are happy to report that our company is an equal opportunity provider, 51% of our employees are women. We employ women irrespective of their age, career breaks, or backgrounds. They can be fresher’s or women who want to restart their careers after a maternity break or other reasons. As a policy, we do not discriminate against our employees based upon their genders in any given circumstance. We are promoting a culture where we offer uniform pay scales and positions that depend only on qualifications and experience. Therefore, defying all stereotypes, we have talented women leading functions like finance, marketing, and supply chain. An experienced woman manages our production facility in Dresden. Interestingly, an all-woman painters' team is employed there to hand-paint our products."
"Another key factor for us, as an employer, is to ensure that the women in our organization can maintain a healthy work-life balance. For this, we offer flexible working hours and the option to work from home. There is no shift work in our production and logistics. In Dresden, production employees can even start work at slightly staggered times; this helps mothers with children in particular."
As a society, what can we do to #BreakTheBias?
International Women's Day is not the only day we must focus on this very important topic, but we must try to make a difference in our everyday lives with simple acts and behavioral changes.Reference: [1] https://www.vic.gov.au/gender-equality-what-it-and-why-do-we-need-it
