The late Dr. Abe Ravin, M.D., FACC, founded Cardionics in 1969. At the University of Colorado, Denver Dr. Ravin was cardiologist, and he was working as a professor of clinical medicine. In order to help his students to recognize the different heart sounds during auscultation and thus to diagnose them correctly, he developed the first simulator for auscultation. For the first time, it was possible to identify normal heart and lung sounds without seeing a patient. The American College of Cardiology acknowledged Dr. Ravin’s contribution with the distinguished Gifted Teacher Award.
Cardionics was founded out of the necessity to improve medical education and the company continues to improve medical education, specifically the advancement of cardiac and pulmonary education. Invention and innovation are the engine of Cardionics products and service is at the core of the entire team.
The mission of Cardionics is to make the world a better place through life-saving medical education innovations in combination with the vision to provide the medical industry with reliable, high-quality products, which provide value to customers and partners worldwide.
