These Helmholtz coils are essential components for determining the specific charge of an electron (e/m) using a fine-beam tube (experiment 8000667 / 8000668). The Pair of Helmholtz coils is used for generating a homogeneous magnetic field. The coils can be switched in parallel or in series.
