These Helmholtz coils are essential components for determining the specific charge of an electron (e/m) using a fine-beam tube (experiment 8000667 / 8000668). Additionally, in combination with the flat coil in a rotatable frame (item no: 1013131), the Helmholtz coils are utilized in experiments investigating induction.
The Pair of Helmholtz coils is used for generating a homogeneous magnetic field. The coils can be switched in parallel or in series.
A spring clip on the top crossbar is used to mount the Hall sensor during measurements of the magnetic field.
