Model to demonstrate the structure and function of a biomembrane.
The structure of a lipid bilayer with various integrated and attached proteins is shown. By using liquids, the fluidity of the membrane can be impressively demonstrated.
The membrane proteins can be moved with the supplied magnet.
Use this model as a teaching tool when discussing topics related to the cell membrane such as plasma membrane structure and function, diffusion, active and passive transport.
