The patented "Cut Suit" is the most advanced and realistic way to simulate the effects of severe traumatic events on a live human casualty, enabling first responders and physicians to safely perform medical procedures in real-time training scenarios. It covers the entire treatment spectrum, from the point of injury to En-Route care, and through to surgical intervention. Procedures currently available on the Cut Suit include extremity hemorrhage control with tourniquet application, arterial ligation/clamping, and internal compression, as well as iliac arterial hemorrhage control, surgical cricothyroidotomy, bilateral anterior and axillary chest needle thoracentesis, bilateral surgical chest-tube thoracotomy, and suturing and stapling of skin in all locations. Additionally, the system supports Foley catheterization, external bladder tap, thoracotomy and intra-thoracic exploratory surgery, laparotomy and intra-abdominal exploration, hemorrhage control of gross organ structures, and even procedures like suturing of gross organs, anastomosis, and resection. Peripheral IV access is also part of the training options available. Unique features of the Cut Suit include its ability to be worn during even the most physically intense scenarios at the point of injury (POI), with a weight of approximately 35 lbs. The system allows for the use of real clothing, uniform, body armor, and equipment while enabling interaction with a live human during emergency assessment and treatment processes. The skin and organs are user-repairable, and the system features interchangeable organs with variable wound patterns or pathology, including internal and external hemorrhaging. Additionally, users can create and customize wounds to match specific training needs.
